The Models
Since 1992, I’ve dedicated my building career to experimenting, researching and ultimately designing and producing guitars that are optimized for modern fingerstyle playing. The culmination of this development process has resulted in guitars that excel at the challenges placed upon them by modern performance techniques and the variable tensions of different open tunings. While any guitar can be played fingerstyle, having a guitar in your hands that is the result of this development process will make your playing experience more effortless, enjoyable and inspired. I believe this is the highest calling for an acoustic steel string guitar.
All models of Schwartz Guitars feature my very light but extremely strong carbon fibre-reinforced, lattice-braced soundboard. The light weight allows the top to respond easily, even with the reduced tension of open tunings. The strength means that the harder you play, the louder you get. Other interior features contributing to the unique voice of my instruments are proprietary integrated side construction and a carbon fibre-reinforced X-braced back. All this technical construction information aside, my intention is to have you, the player, experience the same performance and sound quality that inspires many of today’s top fingerstyle players who have chosen to play a Schwartz guitar.
Contemporary designs for inspired playing.
The Oracles
The Oracle design incorporates a unique combination of functional elements that sets it apart from current guitar designs. It is a truly modern guitar both inside and out. Structurally and ergonomically, the Oracle combines new advancements in construction and modern innovations in exterior treatments that dramatically enhance the sound and playability. The Oracles feature 24 frets, a droptop style armrest, cutaway bevel and rear access panel.
Oracle 15
This power packed smaller Oracle has a focused and rich tone with a surprisingly balanced and defined bass response for a guitar with a 15 inch lower bout.
Oracle 16
The Oracle 16 is the ultimate fingerstyle machine with a deep, lush bass response and lyrical trebles to accentuate melody lines. The 16 inch body provides a huge dynamic range and has been described as having a cello like sound.
The Pinnacles
While looking much like a regular guitar on the outside, the Pinnacle uses many of the innovations I’ve developed on the Oracles to optimize fingerstyle performance in all tunings. This extremely versatile Schwartz Guitar is balanced, responsive and expressive, with a pianoesque sound and a wide dynamic range from soft to loud. Except for the pinless bridge, the ordinary facade of the Pinnacle gives no hint of the extraordinary cutting-edge performance you’ll enjoy with this guitar.
Pinnacle 15:
This traditional looking OM sized guitar has a focused and articulate sound. It’s available with a droptop style armrest and a bevel in the cutaway.
Pinnacle 16
This versatile performer has a big and responsive pianoesque sound. It’s a great choice if you play in a variety of tunings or styles.
Multi-scale Pinnacle
The 26 to 26.75 inch scales are optimized for DADGAD and lower tunings. You’ll be able to take the low E down to A without any problem. The subtle fan makes this a versatile performer in all open tunings without being difficult to play or being dialed in for a limited range of tunings.
The Eschaton
The Reuleaux triangle shaped soundhole allows room for a bevel in the cutaway on the 16 inch body with a clean, unembellished aesthetic. The sound is similar to the Pinnacle 16.
